Chef John Howard

My culinary journey began at the happiest place on earth! Starting my career in hospitality at Disneyland Resort, I was captivated by the world of food service. Fueled by this passion, I honed my skills at the Long Beach City College Culinary Arts program. After graduating, I dove headfirst into the fast-paced world of production kitchens, working at NBC-Universal and later a commissary that supplied meals for Warner Bros. Studios. This role allowed me to collaborate with talented chefs like Erik Kopelow and cater to diverse palates, including those on various television and film productions.

Craving a more hands-on approach, I transitioned to the vibrant Hollywood scene, cooking delicious Italian fare from scratch at Vivoli Trattoria in Hollywood,Ca a restaurant known for its bustling atmosphere and discerning clientele. Broadening my horizons, I joined the Hotel Maya "Fuego" in Long Beach, California, creating delightful fast-casual experiences for guests with stunning views of the Queen Mary. Finally, before arriving in Arizona, I served as the Night Chef at Loma Linda University Medical Center, ensuring patients received nutritious and delicious meals.

Throughout my career, I've cultivated a deep respect for quality ingredients and the joy of bringing people together through food. Now, I'm thrilled to be in the next phase of my life, serving as Chef Consultant for Amanda Atler of Mandy's Wine Bar in Maricopa! And as a husband and father to four amazing kids, Life is good!
